Privacy Policy
Who this is for
SquadRotate helps a coach plan fair playing time and position rotations for a youth sports team. The only user is the coach — an adult who creates the account and enters the team's information. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service.
What we store
Everything in SquadRotate is entered by the coach. For each player on the coach's roster, that can include:
- The player's name (the app displays a first name and last initial in most places)
- A jersey/kit number, eligible positions, and a 1–3 skill rating
- Optional free-text coaching notes
We do not ask for or store player dates of birth, photos, addresses, contact details, or any government or biometric identifiers. We show only a team age band (for example, "U8"), never an individual birth date.
Information about children
Some players on a coach's roster are under 13. That information is entered by the coach about those players — it is never collected from a child, because children do not use SquadRotate. When a coach first builds a roster, they confirm that they are 18 or older and have the authority to enter that information, including any parental permission required for players under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and want to review or delete information about your child, contact us at privacy@gizmobuild.io and we will work with the coach to remove it.
How we use it
Roster information is used only to run the app's rotation, fairness, and lineup features for the coach who entered it. We do not sell or share it, use it for advertising, or send it to third-party advertising or analytics services. The mobile apps contain no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Where it lives
Roster data is stored in the coach's account (hosted on Supabase) and cached on the coach's own device so the app works offline on the sideline. Access is restricted to the coach's account.
How long we keep it & how to delete it
We keep roster information only as long as the coach keeps it in the app for the purpose of running their team. A coach can:
- Delete an individual player at any time (removes that player's data)
- Use Delete my data in the app to erase their entire roster and account data from their device and from our servers
When a coach deletes their data, we remove it from active storage. Backups are cycled out on our provider's normal schedule.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
SquadRotate is a general-audience tool for adults and does not collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has somehow provided information to us directly, contact privacy@gizmobuild.io and we will delete it.
